On Thursday 8 April, Born To Be Wide presents Wide Days an informative music industry networking andevent bringing together the creative industries in Scotland and beyond.
The daytime program consists of four music industry seminars and a Keynote Q&A with Gavin Bain, whose book California Schemin’ describes how he and fellow Dundonian Billy Boyd fooled the music industry into believing they were American, earning considerable sums of money and partying like Rock stars and touring with Eminem and D12 along the way!
The seminars on the day are, How To Get On A Festival Bill, with oranisers of the top music festivals in Scotland and further afield moderated by BBC’s Vic Galloway. A seminar on essentail legal advice entitled I Am The Law, an indepth discussion on music industry management featuring high profile managers of acts like stevie Wonder, Primal Scream and simple Minds and a discussion seminar entitled What Next? looking at the future of the music industry in general.
The same Evening your Wristband will give you access to various venues and showcases throughout Edinburgh.   Finally ending with a big party and Born To Be Wide guest DJ Sets.

  1. I love live music. Going to gigs and concerts is the best way to experience music. Live and Loud thats what I say..
