Radio Magnetic’s new favourite Stones Throw label member, James Pants, is currently on tour round the UK and guess who’s got tickets to the Edinburgh gig…

That’s right, but not only do we have a pair of tickets but we also have 2 copies of the phenomenal debut album ‘Welcome’ to throw at you. One lucky winner will be taking themselves and a date to Edinburghs Voodoo Rooms on Thursday 9th October ’08.

Touring the UK live for the first time, innovative US native James Pants will bring his four-piece band to Limbo on Thursday 9th October, promoting his boundary-melting debut album ‘Welcome’ (Stones Throw), a record which has seen epithets such as ‘the Madlib of dance music’ posted on his account.

Support comes from Edinburgh’s own boundary-melting innovators Found, whose second album ‘This Mess We Keep Reshaping’ has seen the quintet hailed as ‘nu folk’ heroes, with loads more critical praise all OVER the shop. Also on the bill, Penpushers, who have been lying very low since they released their own, second, full-length album, Poltergeeks (Incorporeal/KFM) – they have also released  two EPs, in 2006, and will make this date their first live outing since April.   The omnipresent Black Spring DJs will also be on hand to plug the gaps and join the dots between these outstanding live talents on the ones and twos.

Competition

To win these tickets and a copy of the album all you have to do is guess how many pairs of pants does Sir James of the Pants have. The person who guesses closest will win a pair of tickets to the event and a copy of the album. Second closest guess will win a copy of the album as well. Easy enough?
