One would reasonably expect things to slow down in clubland in December, but the exact opposite is true for matter. Come next month, matter will host some of the most exciting parties they’ve ever hosted, with the electronic odyssey of Meganite kicking things off in fine style on December 5 with the likes of Yousef and Claudio Coccoluto helming the decks, followed by the critically acclaimed Pendulum and Krafty Kuts leading the charge the following night.
In a thrilling about face, December 12 will bring Sam Sparro, Alphabeat, Frankmusik and the rest of the delightfully slanted and enchanted Wonky Pop crew to grace matter’s stages for the first time, while December 13 will be a fine return to stomping electronic form with Tiefschwarz, Jamie Lidell and Aeroplane among others bringing the Renaissance party back into matter for a triumphal homecoming. Resident Advisor throw a Christmas party with Modeselektor in charge on December 20, and then, of course, on 31 December, it’s the New Year’s eve party to end all New Year’s Eve parties, with 2 Many DJ’s, The Whip, Filthy Dukes, Delphic, Riotous Rockers, Joakim, Riton and more present and correct to keep us dancing well into 2009.
