This years annual festival awards have been announced with Glastonbury taking the top prize despite all that moaning prior to the massively successful Jay Z appearance.

Adding to Glastonbury’s achievements on the night were an Outstanding Contribution gong for festival honcho Michael Eavis, and the gong for Most Memorable Moment – the one where the aforementioned Jay-Z did a performance of Oasis track ‘Wonderwall’.

Other winners on the night include Radio Magnetic favourites The Secret Garden Party, who won Best Small Festival, Glade Festival, who won Best Dance Festival, Belladrum, who won Best Grass Roots Festival and The Mighty Boosh, who won Festival Feel-Good Act.

Innovation Award in Association with Weboptimiser Media: Standon Calling for hosting the UK’s first festival underwater dance arena in a swimming pool.

Most Memorable Moment in Association with Gaymer Cider: Jay-Z mocking Noel Gallagher with his rendition of ‘Wonderwall’ at Glastonbury.
