Soma Skool is an inspirational educational event encompassing the music industry and outlying creative sector. Soma Skool aims to educate, motivate and inspire young people in an innovative, creative and dynamic way by promoting the vibrancy of the Scottish creative industries.
By demystifying the creative process Soma Skool is based around producing a finished piece of music, from demo to finished product. Event organisers Soma Records have a wealth of experience, operating for 18 years working with an international roster of artists including Slam, Silicone Soul, Funk D’Void, My Robot Friend and Vector Lovers amongst many others.
If you want to learn how an original track is created including the design and impact of visual and graphic artwork; the filming and editing of a video utilising cutting-edge software; and the delineation of marketing and business plans then pop along to the Glasgow’s City Halls, on Friday 1st May.
Radio Magnetic’s own Tony Black and Dougal Perman will be taking part in panel discussions on the day.
