Jazz legend Ornette Coleman leads the way as artistic director in this year’s must-see Meltdown Festival from June 13-21. A free-spirited concoction of jazz, world music and avantrockers will be storming the stage, promising an innovative, collaborative line up the high-callibre Southbank event is renowned for. Each year Meltdown is directed by one of the world’s most distinguished musicians from John Peel through to David Bowie and Morrisey, bringing legendary artists to the London Southbank Centre year after year.

Highlights of this 9 day event include Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, The Roots, Yo La Tengo, Sean Lennon, Cornelius, Moby, The Master Musicians of Joujouka, with recent additions of Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and John Coxon and celebrated Jazz artists Marc Ribot, Evan Parker and Han Bennick in their new group ABOUT.
