Grooverider has been released from prison in Dubai after serving ten months of a four year sentence for possession of cannabis.
Also known as Raymond Bingham, Groove was arrested November last year and caught with 2 grams of cannbis at Dubai International Airport which has strict drug laws and the former BBC Radio 1 presenter was sentenced to four years in jail.
Groove recently recieved a royal pardon and has been allowed to fly back the UK, where he will spend time with family and friends. In a statement at the time, Grooverider claimed the drugs were in a pocket in an old pair of trousers and that he had simply to forgot to remove them from his possession. Not the best excuse in the world hence the sentencing.
