OFF may be a baby in the world of festivals (its maiden year was 2006) but it’s shaping up to be one of Poland’s premier music events, with a punchy line-up to rival any of the other numerous and discerning European gatherings taking place this summer.
Taking place from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 August in the Silesian city of Katowice in southern Poland, OFF organisers promise beautiful scenery, alternative music from around the world and the best in homegrown talent. The cream of the line-up includes Darkstar, Joker, Digital Mystiks, Atlas Sound, Memory Tapes, Flaming Lips, Casio Kids, No Age, Dinosaur Jr, The Fall and Wu Tang man Raekwon. Well, why not?
Passes are still available and with cheap flights a plenty it may be the perfect time to check out what Poland has to offer. Keep an eye out for an OFF Spotify playlist and preview show from Sub Tropic’s Stuart Thomas, appearing on RM very soon.

Rae is very much still a part of the Wu Tang Clan – nobody left (besides the dearly departed ODB), in fact they’re playing the Academy next month!
Our mistake! He most certainly is! Well spotted Mr Ghost.
Cheers
