The innovative new mPOWER project run by a group of young people at Macrobert unveils its competition campaign today:

To find a name for the finale event of the project – a multi arts festival which will take place in Stirling between 30th July and 2nd August.

The mPOWER young people are offering a very special prize for the winning entry: A 6GB IPod touch screen worth £140 (just like the pic above!). Sound good? Read on Macduff…

Imagine a festival entirely organised by young people? Well look no further than the mPOWER project! Scotland’s most innovative and ambitious project for young people – is doing just that.

A year long project mPOWER is offering a range of opportunities for young people aged 12-17 years to experience and gain practical ‘hands on’ experience of festival planning and event production – culminating with the festival itself in July/August 2010.

The festival programme is set to be launched in April and promises a mass of entertainment from the finest international and Scottish acts in arts, theatre, dance and music, all decided by and organised by the mPOWER team.

For your chance to win an Ipod, all you have to do is send your suggestion to:
