He’s also involved with Birmingham based music producer community Louis Den and in August 2007 he met Darren Hay and what started as an ambitious idea finally turned into an 80 minute DVD! Check out the excerpt from the DVD above.

This is FS Green, he’s 20 years old, from Amsterdam and he features in Behind Closed Doors Vol.2, a hip hop production DVD magazine filmed, edited and released by Andy Brown and Darren Hay. They pressed up a limited run of 500 hand-numbered DVDs and have 200 left for sale. The 80 minute DVD features talent from up and down the UK as well as overseas in Holland. There’s inside tips, tricks, beatmaking techniques, interviews, insights and of course beats! Vol.3 is currently in the works and is expected to be released sometime in 2011.

Ah, September. Lively freshers flood our fair city with youthful enthusiasm, ready to sample a plethora of clubs, djs and 90p spirits. Some will fail to look beyond the deep fried melting pot of Sauchiehall street, so god bless those adventurous souls willing to look a bit further for their new favourite night out.

One such party we wholeheartedly endorse is Mixed Bizness at Glasgow School of Art, who have just announced a post-summer re-launch just in time for the new academic term. Now in its second year, Mixed Bizness regularly welcomes a lively crowd of loyal fans as well as curious freshers, seeking everything from hip hop to dubstep, house to disco, dancehall to funk and most importantly, bass.

Resident DJ Benny Boom will be holding down the fort every Thursday alongside a new batch of rotating upstarts, namely MGCK, NoFace, Point to C and Djamba. Forthcoming Mixed Bizness highights include dubstep posterboy Benga at the Art School on Friday 17 September and hip hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash at the Sub Club on Wednesday 20 October.

Listen to and watch exclusive live recordings from T in the Park 2010 online at Radio Magnetic.

At T in the Park 2010, Radio Magnetic joined forces with The Skinny magazine to record and film a series of stripped back acoustic sessions with some of the best up-and-coming talent on show at this year’s festival.

Over the coming weeks you can watch the videos and hear the sessions in full here at Radio Magnetic and over at our friends, The Skinny‘s website too.

Next up in the series Glaswegian five piece acoustic folk-rock outfit, The Seventeenth Century. The band formed back in early 2008, after studying music at Reid Kerr College and Glasgow University and the Daily Record recently described their style as, “a Hebridian take on The Beach Boys”. The band played their acoustic set in the Media Village for us on Sunday afternoon after their performance in the T Break stage on Friday 9 July. It doesn’t look to be the end of an already very exciting 2010 for them. Definite ones to watch.

Check out their set by clicking stream in the menu bar above or by clicking the player beneath that. And have a look at the video of them performing over at The Skinny website.

Keep an eye out for our fourth exclusive acoustic session next week. And have a listen to all Radio Magnetic and The Skinny Sessions at: radiomagnetic.com/titp
