<div id="_mcePaste">
<p>Top of the bill we have the lovely gents that run the estimable <a href="http://www.Phuturelabs.com" target="_blank">Phuturelabs.com</a> blog and who also showcase their tastes on a monthly <a href="http://www.radiomagnetic.com/phuturelabs" target="_blank">Radio Magnetic podcast</a>. These lads know modern electronic music inside out and know how to get a party rocking. Check &#8216;em out a week before they launch their very own record label at <a href="http://www.ivybar.co.uk/" target="_blank">The Ivy</a>.</p>
<div id="_mcePaste">
<p>The <strong>Radio Magnetic Soundsystem</strong> and Davie from One Louder will also be providing some help on the wheels of steel and there may even be a special guest slot or two. Check out <a href="http://www.radiomagnetic.com/ionise" target="_blank">One Louder</a>&#8216;s podcast for RM too.</p>
<div><span style="font-size: small;">We also  have a live band in the shape of up and coming, disco-punk soulsters <a href="http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=107746749281627#!/bmoviejunkies?ref=ts" target="_blank">B-Movie Junkies</a>. We&#8217;ve caught a handful of this band&#8217;s recent gigs and they are destined for big things. Believe us.</span></div>
<div id="_mcePaste">
<p><strong>4 quid</strong> for a Friday night party downstairs at <a href="http://www.theadmiralbar.com/hold_clubs.php" target="_blank">The Admiral</a> with good company, good beer, good music and dancing? Cant say fairer than that.</p>

<h4>Listen online to Radio Magnetic on Mixcloud. Playing the best in underground, independent and alternative music in the UK, week in, week out.</h4>
<h4>As part of their <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/tag/celebration-of-curation/" target="_blank">Celebration of Curation</a> month in August, <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com" target="_blank">Mixcloud</a> asked some of their favourite contributors to put together a mix showcasing what they&#8217;re all about.</h4>
<p><a href="http://www.facebook.com/radiomagnetic" target="_blank">Radio Magnetic</a> were delighted to be included alongside the likes of <a href="http://www.djhistory.com/" target="_blank">DJ History</a>, <a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/category/shows/fabric-sessions/" target="_blank">Fabric</a>, <a href="http://www.dazeddigital.com" target="_blank">Dazed Digital</a>, <a href="http://www.factmag.com" target="_blank">Fact Magazine</a>, <a href="http://www.viceland.com/uk/" target="_blank">Vice Mag</a>, <a href="http://www.xlr8r.com/" target="_blank">XLR8R</a> and <a href="http://www.discobelle.net/" target="_blank">Discobelle</a> amongst notable others. We love the service Mixcloud provide and felt we were in good company with this one, helping them celebrate their first birthday in fine musical style. Have a read of our <a href="http://blog.mixcloud.com/2010/06/13/spotlight-on-radio-magnetic/" target="_blank">blog interview</a> with the site from earlier in the year too.</p>

We’ve managed to squeeze years of audio goodness into one hour, and we think the mix is a great snapshot of what we do here. From one of the most sought after comedians in the UK, <strong>Frankie Boyle </strong>to<strong> </strong>Radio Magnetic <a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/category/features/livecircuit/" target="_blank">Live Circuit</a> recordings of <strong><a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/features/livecircuit/live-circuit-classic-roots-manuva-live-at-the-arches-2006/" target="_blank">Roots Manuva</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/main-features/jose-gonzalez-coco-rosie-juana-molina/" target="_blank">Jose Gonzalez</a></strong> , <a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/features/livecircuit/live-anstruther/" target="_blank"><strong>FOUND</strong></a> and <strong><a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/main-features/8-years-birthday-special/" target="_blank">Candi Staton</a></strong>, and picks by <strong>Caribou</strong>,<strong> Joker</strong>, <strong>Matias Aguayo</strong>, <strong>Laws</strong>, <strong>The Fall</strong> and <strong><a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/category/shows/mogwai-rock-action/" target="_blank">Mogwai</a></strong>, through <a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/category/shows/optimo/" target="_blank">Optimo (Espacio)</a> classics and hilarious features from <strong>Harry Gooch</strong> and <strong>Buck 65</strong>. Its definitely worth a listen or three. We feel it showcases the best of what we play and promote here on Radio Magnetic.</span></p>
</div>
<p>Like Radio Magnetic, <strong>Mixcloud</strong> is home to loads of great on demand shows, mixes and live recordings. Its also big on suggesting shows you might like and encouraging you to share them with friends, making it easier to trawl through mountains of content. On Mixcloud, over and above the selection of 31 music sites offering a cloudcast throughout the month of August, we also recommend you check out, <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/bordercommunity/" target="_blank">Border Community</a>, <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/graemepark/" target="_blank">Graeme Park</a> and <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/MOOVMNT/" target="_blank">MOOVMNT</a>, and of course our friends and contributors such as <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/sonicrouter/" target="_blank">Sonic Router</a> and <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/phuturelabs/" target="_blank">Phuturelabs</a>.</p>
<p>All in all, the site is well worth exploring and we hope you enjoy our <strong>Celebration Of Curation</strong> <a href="http://www.mixcloud.com/RadioMagnetic/radio-magnetics-celebration-of-curation-mix/" target="_blank">Cloudcast</a>.</p>

<div id="_mcePaste">
<p>Its a mad world out there, and we all need a bit of shelter from the streets of Glasgow from time to time.</p>
<div id="_mcePaste">
<p>Nestled down an alley in the centre of town sits <a href="http://www.stereocafebar.com/" target="_blank">Stereo</a>, a cozy li&#8217;l spot for vegetarians, students and those few looking for music that&#8217;s a bit out of the norm. Head down there this Friday and you&#8217;ll find <a href="http://www.stereocafebar.com/" target="_blank">Deep Cover</a>, the club that acts like a pub, playing music ranging from <strong>afro-beat</strong>, (and other styles fitting in the &#8216;World&#8217;  category) to <strong>Garage rock</strong>, to modern <strong>lo-fi</strong> tunes- if you&#8217;ve heard RM&#8217;s Broken Ear then you might have an idea of what to expect. You&#8217;ll find the venue to be more homely than when you went last, with seating, extra decour and projections.</p>
<p>Check out <a href="http://radiomagnetic.com/category/shows/broken-ear/" target="_blank">Broken Ear&#8217;s shows</a> on Radio Magnetic.</p>
<div id="_mcePaste">
<p>There&#8217;s also live music from <strong>Phat Trophies</strong>, a wurlitzer/drums duo, and <strong>Tokamak</strong>, once described as &#8220;a skint version of Battles&#8221;. And good time tunes all night long. So get down at 11pm when the doors open to kick start your weekend the right way.</p>
<p>Its just £4 in! Get involved people!</p>
