Bpitch Control's Thomas Muller is a young minimal techno master. Listen to this online DJ mix recorded live at Berlin's Watergate in 2008.

Bpitch Control proudly present this live DJ mix recording from Berlin’s Watergate of their first class minimal techno artist Thomas Muller, available to listen online now.

Native of France, Muller grew up in Paris. Before he tore the stabilisers of his decks he was getting in amongst the dazzling Parisian nightlife and doing live techno sets with has pal Paul Ritch at the now legendary Dimuschi parties. After a quick rise to the attention of the Parisian techno scene it was short skip and a hop that landed young Muller in Berlin and into the awaiting arms of Bpitch.

The following mix was recorded live at Boogy Bytes which is hosted in Berlin’s prestigious Watergate nightclub and is a fine example of this young man’s take on minimal techno. Full of lovely builds and precise production mixed by the hands of a true craftsman.

Thomas Muller released his second 12″ on Bpitch titled “Seduction” (bpc177).

Mungo's Hi Fi welcome Mala to their stage this weekend and to get you in the mood we've got this live recording of the Mungo boys at their last Art School event.

Mungo’s HiFi are busy boys these days and this weekend is no exception with Gigs in Glasgow and London on consecutive evenings.

Friday 38th of November sees the Mungo’s soundsystem welcome dubstep innovator Mala for a mighty shakedown of the Art School foundations. With his hugely popular club night residencies like at Mas in Brixton and the DMZ and Deep Medi record labels Mala has gone a long way to defining the dubstep revolution, and anybody curious to see what all the fuss is about should make their way to the Artschool this Friday to find out exactly why people are going so crazy for this music. Mungo’s Hi Fi and the unstoppable DJ Chakka Chakumaki will be supporting.

Anyone who knows the ten year history of Big Dada must also know the name of DJ A La Fu. Aberdonian Kenny Atkins spent his teen years in California before returning to London around the time that Big Dada was setting up.

In the decade that followed, Kenny became a resident at the short-lived and much missed GOSH! nights at Plastic People, as well as supported and shared a stage with the likes of Gil Scott Heron, De La Soul, Afrika Bambatta and Blackalicious.

His most recent project is the worldwide critically acclaimed Radio Skool series which features among others Maseo (De La Soul), Juice Aleem (New Flesh), Mike Ladd (!K7) and Infinite Livez (Big Dada), as well as being a top five seller on New York ‘s Turntable Lab alongside DJ Shadow and Coldcut.

This special Universal Forces mix was recorded live in Moscow and features some crazy-ass Russian chick speaking god-knows what at the start. In a way though, it doesn’t matter as it’s a freekin’ awesome show which simply begs you to raise your glasses to Kenny A La Fu. DJs don’t get much better than this!

Chicago’s Phuture 303 need no introduction as one of the innovators behind Acid House which went on to revolutionise the UK music scene.

It’s only fitting then that they should be winding up Bloc ’08 with what has to be one of the most ferocious sets of the whole event.
Radio Magnetic are proud to bring you Sheffield’s finest, The Black Dog, performing for you live from superb Bloc Weekend ’08 .

The trio are universally respected, for their classic Parallel, Bytes and Spanners albums, which literally created new fields of music. Their inspiration is grounded in previous generations of artists and musicians, to the beats, the Bohemians, and further back. Yet their music appeals to a huge spectrum of people.

The Black Dog make music you feel as well as think about, as you will be able to hear for yourself on this truly fantastic mix.
