As one of the UK’s most distinctive rappers, Trim’s musical output has been a bit hit or miss over the years. His distinctive flow and tone was one of the stand out features on the early Roll Deep records and his track Like Me with Becoming Real was one of the most interesting collaborations of 2010. Since then the East London MC has been fairly quiet, save for a couple of intense diss tracks and mediocre singles. 

This latest FACT Magazine giveaway East, is a collaboration with Last Japan and follows hot on the heels of news that  this will be Trim’s last release before signing an exclusive album deal with Rinse.

Tennent’s Lager have announced the T Break 2012 lineup. The Radio Magnetic team are pleased to see a strong group of 16 bands who will all perform on the T Break Stage at T in the Park on 6, 7 and 8 July 2012.

Radio Magnetic will be there to record and film each of the live sets, which you can listen to and watch after the festival. We’ve pulled together a list of Soundcloud tracks from each of the acts appearing on the T Break Stage this year. Check them out.

Having been immersed in Glasgow’s diverse and vibrant music scene for a number of years, Belmondo have just released their debut EP Dressed Up and Let Down.

Led by singer songwriter Tiff Griffin, the band is completed by members from as far afield as Hungary and Australia playing cellos, vioins and a fretless bass to create music that follows in the tradition of fellow Scot’s King Creosote and John Martyn whilst tipping their hat to trans atlantic indie artists like Bon Iver and Iron & Wine.

We invited the band down to record a special acoustic set for us.

Shahrokh Dini has been involved in the house music scene since 1995. His distinctive sound is influenced by his Iranian heritage and German upbringing, setting him apart from his peers and catching the attention of the likes of Carl Craig, Jazzanova and Hans Nieswandt.

LuckyMe come with the heat once again. This time they bring us a crazy mix by Montreal’s Lunice, who is just about to release a collaborative EP with the one and only, Hudson Mohawke. The project entitled “TNGHT” is set to be released this summer through LuckyMe and Warp.

A couple of years ago, Fantastic Mr. Fox had made a name for himself with a string of uber-cool releases and an extensive tour with The XX, but then he dropped off the radar. Until Now.

News of a new release, titled The San’en EP, came out earlier this month over a year since his last release. The EP is being released on the Black Acre imprint on 4 June and features the vocal talents of Black Acre label mate Alby Daniels.

His recent XLR8R mix has been the office soundtrack this week and features brand new tracks from Pariah and Kuedo.
