This superb mix has got the usual blend of old and new, house, techno and acid from Andrew, with tracks from Slabs of the Tabernacle‘s very own, Tabernacle Records label from Daniel Andréasson and John Heckle.

With our regular Glasgow parties now at an end we’ve decided to return to our place of origin – The Big Joint – for our 4th annual Summer Party. To make this one extra special we’ve invited two tried-and-tested acts that complement each other perfectly. We’ve also added some extra sound to be suitably prepared for an uncompromising, late night jacking session.

You’ve already seen John’s superb DJ skills at two of our previous parties and now it’s time to present his live talent to the public. Still only 22 years old he is already gaining worldwide acclaim with a sound that stands alone.

His remarkable EPs on Mathematics Recordings are to be accompanied by his debut LP – The Second Son – at the end of June, and an EP – Extrovert/Introvert – on Tabernacle Records early July. His music displays an impeccable understanding of classic house and techno, whilst maintaining a freedom and originality, and for this night we have been promised a live set in the purist sense.

As one part of the Parallax Corporation with I-f, Intergalactic Gary is one of the finest DJs we have had the pleasure of hearing. If you have been fortunate to witness an I-G set you will know what we mean when we say that he is guaranteed to unearth the deepest shit no matter what the musical genre. For this night he has decided to perform a strictly Chicago/Acid set to the end.

In order to get the club filled up early doors we will be running a free shuttle bus down to the venue (more details on the location of the pickup will be announced nearer the date) between 10-11.

The night return this month to Glasgow’s Le Cheetah basement with electro and ghetto bass head DJ Xed headlining. All the way from Croatia, Xed has stayed in touch with electro from his early days following artists such as Newcleus, Jonzun Crew, Man Parrish and World Class Wreckin’ Cru. Over the past twenty years his sets have included soul funk, hip hop, electro, Miami bass and ghetto house.

Through hooking up with fellow 808 fans he helped formed the Crobot Crew promoting true electro in Croatia and wider in the region through Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.

These days their own parties see guests like Anthony Rother, Aux 88, Exzakt, The Advent, Bass Junkie, Boris Divider, Jackal & Hyde and DJ Godfather regularly wreck the floor. They have played gigs from Holland to Miami, and more recently they have released records on Puzzlebox, Twilight 76 and their own label Crobot Muzik.

Now on their fifth night, Slabs of the Tabernacle have already hosted Scottish debuts for a number of artists such as the Third Man (ai Records) and UK italo pioneer Casionova (Magic Waves / Dissident).

Next up is Rotterdam’s Mark du Mosch (Moustache Records). Armed with a bag of his finest records, a ‘tache spectacular awaits! Championed by the likes of fellow Dutchman, I-F, Mark Du Mosch makes music that is not of this earth, melodies that sound like they were crafted on the moon, layered with deep spacey synth swooshes that will illuminate any dancefloor. Since 2006′s Let it Go he has only released a handful of records but they have all been of the highest calibre. Space helmets at the ready then, for a DJ set that will explore the realms of disco, italo, house, techno and beyond.
