When putting together the mighty Eruption Rock n Roll weekender Rasef new that if he got one man on the bill then they’d all come out of the woodwork. That man is the Reverend Beat-Man.

BEAT-MAN is the Swiss head honcho of Voodoo Rhythm Records and has led that country’s premiere garage band, The Monsters, for the past 17 years. He is currently in receipt of religion, living life as a primitive gospel blues trash evangelist known as REVEREND BEAT-MAN (with a band called the Un-Believers.) “Get On Your Knees” was recorded at UK’s legendary Toe Rag Studios, with songs like “Oh Lord”, “The Lord Is Coming Back”, and others that can’t be printed here.

The Reverand joins Rasef in the studio for a chat and knees up with some of the tracks that are inspiring him right now including some unreleased exclusives.

Rasef has been a busy boy and booked one of his all time favourite bands, The Duke Joint Pimps to play his now legendary Eruption night in Glasgow.

After the first gig of their Scottish tour a slightly rough Rasef dragged the fresh faced Pimps into Radio Magnetic’s HQ for a chat about their music, their influences, their snoring habits as well as the one and only Vodoo Rhythm Records. T Man and Mighty Mike also recorded a couple of exclusive tracks especially for Rasef and the Volcanic Radio Show.

Rasef has stirred up a Volcanic rockachilly soup full of the finest ingredients rock and roll has to offer.

Rasef provides a hearty concoction of rock and roll, blues and soul to fill you up, just like the soup he had for his tea.

Rasef’s recipe includes music from the twist and rumble compilation, a dash of the voodoo rhythm label, a fairly big handful of his favourite rock and roll band in U.K: the Black Mekon, and his serving suggestions of 2 bands to see live all mixed up to create a rockabillytastic broth. Has the soup analogy gone to far?

Rasef and Lobo are rejoined together again after Lobo’s wee fishing trip hiatus with his old man.

In this episode the boys are in a cheery mood and can’t wait for the first results to come through from the large hadron collider. End of the world perhaps? Who knows but at least the Volcanic Show is here to make light of the situation with a wee joke and yet another healthy deposit in the studio swear box.

If you’re a fan of Rasef and Lobos’ brand of rock, blues, rockabilly, punk, ska and reggae then make sure you get your arse down to their very own club night, Eruption.

Once again Rasef takes to the studio on his lonesome but don't worry the boys haven't had a wee falling out like last time. Lobo's gone fishing with the old man and left Rasef in charge.

Once again Rasef takes to the studio on his lonesome but don’t worry the boys haven’t had a wee falling out again. Lobo is off fishing this week with his old man so Rasef is taking up the slack to present another killer show.

Not only have the boys been busy catching sprats and picking tunes but their also off the back of launching their Eruption gigs in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Luckily for us we’ll have some live recordings on the site from all the Glasgow gigs live at The Halt Bar.

The Eruption line up includes:

29/08/08 Filthy Little Secret
26/09/08 Rob K & Uncle Butcher

As well as putting on gigs and rocking the Haltbah, Rasef and Lobo have been on a bit of a B movie binge lately and Rasef has picked a collection of classic B movie adverts for this show. Wonder if he’ll play us ‘So I Married An Axe Murderer’ in the next one.
