Back in the mists of the dawn of time (well, our time, anyway) a sprightly young man called Crae Caldwell entered the Radio Magnetic studio, with his moody-but-shrewd-with-the-tunes compadre Jim Hutchison, and began a series of audio house, techno and electronica chronicles called Magnetic North.

A few years have passed since then and Crae notched up a significant birthday recently (listen to the show to see if you can find out which) so we decided to throw him a party in the way we know best: stock the fridge, turn up the volume, decorate the studio and let the good times roll.

Joining Crae in the presenter’s chair is Jim, and lurking in the background Scott Problems and Dougal Perman assisted with rambunctious renditions of popular Chicago Warehouse classics on the party horn (so they tell us).

Indulge in a few trips down musical memory lane, which include the first song Crae had a fight a school to, kiss to and the tune that made him want to work in the music business.

This 40 track spectacular show is our part of a homage to a man behind DF Concerts and Slam’s finest events and some of Radio Magnetic’s most enjoyable shows.
