Radio Magnetic is delighted to announce the start of this year’s TrocaBrahma podcast series.

Following this summer’s impassioned live events and artistic exchanges in Sao Paulo, London, Liverpool and Glasgow, the six unmissable episodes will celebrate the collaborative spirit and fiery narratives of this year’s TrocaBrahma, which boasted a stellar cast of musical stars including Os Mutantes, Gruff Rhys, Bonde do Role, King Creosote, Gilles Peterson, Diplo, Four Tet, Radioclit and Open Field Church – among a host of others.

The series is anchored by presenter and mash-up overlord Diplo. Each instalment is co-hosted by musicians who feature in assorted TrocaBrahma adventures and Episode 1 features Optimo’s Twitch:

Following his TrocaBrahma clash with Tropicalia legends Os Mutantes, Optimo’s JD Twitch discusses their collaborative process, while Mutantes’ affable front-man Sergio muses on Brasil’s current cultural / political climate, and delineates Tropicalia’s legacy almost forty years on. Artists including The Zutons, Ladytron, Echo And The Bunnymen and The Bees discuss Os Mutantes’ enduring relevance. And we hear exclusive live recordings of new and classic Os Mutantes music.
