The amazing Million Dollar Orchestra (you can call him Al) soul and disco enthusiast, aficionado, collector, DJ and producer released his second album proper on BBE earlier in the year and the lovely gent that he is offered to exclusively re-edit a track from that Secret Sounds record for our crimbo giveaway. ‘Tis the bearly breaking even and thoroughly festive season after all. Here’s Get Funky from us and him to you as a special gift.
We’ve been fans of Al’s for a while now, we saw him at The Electric Frog Street Carnival, and as part of our Homeclubbing series and Melting Pot album launch earlier in December he knocked up this rather smashing DJ mix.
For any discerning fan of quality disco music Al Kent is regarded as a pivotal player right now. Both as a DJ and producer. Secret Sounds being released on BBE is testament to that fact and he’s also released and worked with the likes of DJ History, Kat Records and Still Music.
