Homegame is the yearly music festival curated by the good people over at Fife’s Fence Records. The festival takes place within the quaint little fishing village of Anstruther in the East Neuk of Fife.
The cottage-indie label, Fence Records, which features on its roster the likes of Pictish Trail, HMS Ginafore, FOUND, Lone Pigeon, James Yorkston, Jon Hopkins and head honcho, King Creosote, have been organising the annual Homegame parties for the last six years with the popularity and reputation growing year on year.
2009 saw special guest appearances at the festival by the likes of Malcolm Middleton, Adem, Karine Polwart, Emma Pollock and De Rosa as well as the ever impressive established Fence Records contingent. Radio Magnetic made the trip East for the festival and were thoroughly charmed, impressed and intoxicated by the end of it. Over the course of the coming months we’ll be bringing you a selection of the festival highlights for your listening pleasure.
First up, Edinburgh-based experimental electro-folk-pop quintet and Radio Magnetic favourites, FOUND. The prolific outfit have been a part of the Fence squad for the last two years now after having being invited to play at the festival back in 2006. With two albums and several EPs in the last two years we predict big things for these lads and hope you dig the set as much as we did. Enjoy!
