Onto our second selection of best bits from 2008 and it’s time we got the bass bins out.

In terms of electronic music 2008 will be known by many for the plethora of crap remixes unleashed on equally crap music blogs by bedroom producers the world over. Sad state of affairs really when music blogs are racing each other to get fresher tracks up on their sites and in the end all they do is cloud their posts with links to download complete mince from their mates that live in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin or some other sickeningly “cool” place.

However, not all is lost. 2008 will also be known as one of the most forward thinking years of the 00′s. (I’m not calling them naughties!) Dubstep morphed into a whole new kind of beast, the wonk step / aqua crunnk / who know’s what it’s called that was pioneered by Glasgow’s Numbers and Lucky Me crews inspired new artists around the world to step up, techno went dub while minimal disspaeared into the deepest darkest reaches of Berlin where it belongs and electro (not true electro) imploded on itself allong with the music blogosphere. Thank f*ck for that!!

So to cap things off, this is a selection that was developed, pruned and prodded for over a month and to be honest there’s loads more that should be on here but in the end there’s only so much time to get things done. Please add you’re submissions and maybe we can convince to our resident expert Let’s Go Outside to mix ‘em together.
