Well if your as shocked as we were then fear not, Radio Magnetic has a copy of his debut album ‘Smoke The Monsters Out’ to give away. Not only do we have a CD copy but we’ve got vinyl and Get Physical goodies to give away as well. Very nice!

Check out this DJ set of the man himself from a rooftop in downtown L.A during the Culprit Sessions.

  1. Damian’s my fave, his bleeps and squelches are what makes me rave.
I’m an old school techno guy with demon’s in my head,
(Please) Give Lazarus’s debut vinyl slab to me, and without a single doubt it will “Smoke The Monsters Out”

  2. Pier Bucci is my fave as his choons are smooth min. He played Pressure on friday and his set was all a little bit more playful and minimal than the rest of the lineup which was really refreshing at the time. Shout out magnetic, gimme that album! x

  3. Props to Magnetic.

    Need this album.

    Lazarus for mayor.

    CD please.

  4. Nico Purman is my favourite artists from Crosstown Rebels for he just showed me how incredibly good could be minimal music when put in the right hands ! and not that usual perfectly executed tame, lame and dull thing…

and not only for being a newcomer and perfect stranger to me back then – but, i’m telling, it didn’t last ! i then hassled my record seller to get his stuff in !

Take a heavy dosis of average minimal music, add extra layers, some kinda mad tribal percussion… SHAKE WELL !

    Ka-Boom !! You Get ‘Lunatique E.P.’ !

  5. Troxler vs. Jamie Jones – it’s on!

Round 1: Biggest alternative summer jam!

Troxler: Aphrika – The definition of groove + transsexual vocal sprinkled on top = win (plus what sounds like a billiard sample!)

Jamie Jones: Sssuuummmmmmeeerrrr-time! I’m afraid I might get extremely tired of this but right now it’s THE party-starter.

Winner: Jones, can’t fuck with the epic synth work.

Round 2: Best Rebel Rave appearance.

Wait who am I kidding – instant win for Troxler, he done did the “my-dream-girls-is…”-bullshit question to a straight A.

    Overall winner: Tie!!!11 ;)

Fuck favourites anyway, I embrace the whole Crosstown Rebels roster!

  6. Jamie Jones as is the best .
Summertime is a classic Detroit and Chicago vibes.

Rock & Roll is dead….. electro is Rock & Roll

  7. Ok let’s do this!

Although I’m not sure that Aphrika came out on Cross Town Rebels (looking into it now) you can’t kock the sheer creative flair on the comment (I did ask) and so the album has to go to….

    “drum roll”.

Thomas!! Come down and collect your prize.

Only messing, we’ll send it in the post.

    Enjoy!

    Tony
