After venturing to Belfast for #19, it’s back to more familiar territory.
As well as The Music Bed on BBC Radio Scotland, new music guru shares even more of his top Scottish tips through the wonders of internet radio and podcasting. In this latest edition, Jim delves into the Ten Tracks website for some quality MP3s, digs out a bonkers cover from the guys behind a Glasgow clubbing institution, and explains how he hassled a punk icon at a movie premiere!

cool, really enjoyed this show Jim.
1. 1990s – 59 – Rough Trade . Fuck me I can’t believe I haven’t heard this track? Cheeky, funloving nonsense. Like shagging a holiday bird you would never even look at back home!! Awesome Bass line!!!
2. Found – Let Fidelity Break – Fence The Unsure, possibly too much Jacques le cunt in this one? Love the pharting ¾ the way through though. Everyone needs to leave cowbells alone. LCD have done it, everyone else chill!!!!
3. Mode – Last One To Fall – White Label. Lovely, just lovely!! Silly silly guitar playing. Gorgeous backing vox. Good drummer? DISCUSS!!!
4. Isa & The Filthy Tongues – New Town Killers – Neon Tetra – The best song never to reach a John Hughes film!!! I remember the garden party!! So old..
5. Big Ned – Paint It Black – Optimo- I feel sick!!
6. Cruiser feat. Tiger, Tiger – A Gentle Press – KF, Does this guy sound a wee bit like Neil Tennant? But in a good way? This is lush, just LUSH!!!
7. Hidden Masters – Reading My Mind – White Label- its like the strokes playing ‘American Prayer’!! Whip the horses eyes!!! Fantastic guitar player!!
8. Ming Ming And The Ching Chings – Show Off – White Label- possibly the best thing anyone has ever heard, EVER!!! To be fair it is now very late, this may not sound as good in 4 hours time. But I can see why not? Fucking lovely!!!
9. The Xcerts – Crisis In The Slow Lane – King Tuts / Xtra Mile- Oh Dear…. I may weep. That is quite lovely!!!
Wow Sean… that’s what I can an impressive deconstruction of the music featured.
Nicely done!! Not sure about the Found view (although we’re biased). Bumped into Chet from Ming Ming at the weekend looking especially tired next to the tinned tomatoes in Morrissons. Hillarious chat!
