You may think with a name like B*Licious you’d be getting a big dose of R & Bling, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Depending on her mood, you can hear anything from disco, funk, house, electro-funk and breaks with a bit of boogie, acid or dub thrown in for good balance.

Flying the flag for female DJ’s, B*Licious aka Samantha Bagg has been working the Glasgow underground bar and club scene since 2003. Past guest slots include club nights La Roche Rumba, Inner City Acid, Fish Fry, MadCoW, Riff Raff, Patefon, The Buff, many Glasgow bars as well as festivals spanning T in the Park, Organic Beats and Croatia’s boutique Garden Festival.

B*Licious has held residencies at Glasgow’s legendary and soon to be resurrected Carnival Arts Club, Funkin’ GoNuts and Zoo Muzik across the years has played alongside many a varied folk including Roy Ayers, Candi Staton and more recently Soft Rocks.

The featured mix is a bit of a cosmic nu-disco trip and if you like what you hear, get yourself down to Diskodancer at MamaSan on Saturday 19 December and La Roche Rumba at Blackfriars on Sunday 27 December or Carnival Arts on Albion St for a very special outer spaced theme NYE party.
