The Kinky Afro club night has been one of the many stand-out clubbing attractions at the internationally renowned Sub Club in Glasgow for almost a decade. The nights blend an innovative fusion of house, techno and electronics with live African drumming and always aim to think outside of the DJ box.
Kinky Afro nights at the Sub have seen special appearances from the likes of Thomas Fehlmann (The Orb), Benga, Toddla T and Radioactive Man which gives you an idea of the broad and forward-thinking musical standpoint they’ve created and maintained through the years. The set at RockNess is captured here with the club residents showcasing their trademark merging of collective vigour with alternative rhythms and new beats and breaks. Enjoy.
