Orbit is back again bringing you the finest new music this planet has to offer. Fresh offerings this week coming from the likes of Flying Lotus, Broken Social Scene and Foals. This weeks episode is named after Jupiters smallest moon Leda.
In Greek mythology, Leda was the daughter of the Aetolian king Thestius and wife of Tyndareus, king of Sparta. As you may have guessed by now Zeus fancied her. I mean who didn’t he want a piece of ? As always Zeus had a cunning plan to seduce her. Turning himself into a swan, he fell into her arms for protection from a pursuing eagle. Later that night, as Leda lay with her husband, Zeus cosummated their relationship.
