Let’s Go Outside is a good friend of Radio Magnetic and has lovingly pieced together a new mix for us to post up on the site.
The Soma DJ and wingsuit, base jumping headcase from Portland Oregon is one of the finest undiscovered and misunderstood producers around. Not only has he produced an excellent album for Soma but he’s also just launched his own label Slant Records.
“The first offering is one of two limited-time, download-only preview EPs, simply titled, “A Let’s Go Outside Sampler”. Preview and purchase at Slant-Records.com , Juno or DanceRecords.com (more outlets on the way). This EP will only be available until November 30. The first sampler is on the heady tip, with the upcoming second release targeting the dancefloor.”
Apart from being a DJ, producer, label owner, base jumper, and all round good guy he’s the sort of guy who can hold a half hour conversation about bpm with out trouble. According to Steve (LGO) and Neil Landstrumm the perfect dancefloor bpm is 133.3. Just enough to keep you bouncing but not to much that you have to stomp it out.
If you’re into your techno this should be an absolute treat and should be used to help shake off those on coming winter blues. Trust me, blast this first thing in the morning for full effect.

Steve, you left your mirken at my house….. but HEY! this mix is roarin!!
Steve’s mixes never fail to please – and his productions are totally original and inspirational.LGO is the Hunter S Thompson of electronic music. The man’s own record label “Slant” sums it up really as that is exactly what Steve puts on everything he touches, whatever the Genre, the touch is gold.I also love the fact that he regularly features Maetriks “Choose Your System” in his mix,it’s one of my favourite all time tracks too.for more brilliant mixes from LGO go to http://www.letsgooutside.com Peace.tkt.
