Here’s the first of our Rizla Riverboat London Sessions, recorded at the after-party of London’s Waverley voyage on Friday 8 October. UK house and electo funk pioneer, innovator and stalwart of the British clubbing landscape, Greg Wilson at the helm here. Recorded live at London’s Cable venue after the good paddle steamer docked down south for the evening.

Greg Wilson’s been DJ-ing since the mid 1970s and has held residencies at such legendary nightclubbing haunts at The Wigan Pier and Hacienda; and has appeared at most, if not all, noteworthy and discerning house and electronic music nights around the country ever since. With a shedload of really outstanding production, remix and re-edit work under his belt too it has to be said that this is one of the most important and finest DJs the country’s ever produced.
