waterloo_episode11_450Every week on Radio Magnetic, we’ll be publishing a music guide blog post to accompany series 9 of Waterloo Road on BBC One.

For the last couple of months we’ve been working with Shed Media helping to select music for series 9 of Waterloo Road. Here’s a few of our favourite selections from this week’s episode:

Pangaea – Time Bomb

Hessle Audio’s Pangaea delivers a killer melody, hard hitting percussion and subtle beeps and bleeps on the amazing tension building Time Bomb.

Pev & Kowton – Raw Code

Bristol’s Peverelist & Kowton team up again for the industrial club banger Raw Code which went out on Hessle Audio.

Neil Landstrumm – Little Help From Rustie (with Tobias Schmidt)

Edinburgh producer Neil Landstrumm’s Little Help From Rustie is a bombastic techno cut drawing influence from the Glasgow producer.

Daft Punk – Giorgio By Moroder

Daft Punk teamed up with electronic pioneer Giorgio Moroder for their track aptly named Giorgio by Moroder. The track features Moroder talk about how he started in music with a classic moroder-esque synths banging in the background. The track is taken from Daft Punk’s Album, Random Access Memories.

Bloc Party – Plans (Inst)

This is the instrumental version of Bloc Party’s amazing track Plans. Plans is taken from their album, Silent Alarm.

Joe Goddard feat. Valentina – Gabriel

Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard has teamed up with Valentina for a reworking of her track Gabriel. It features Valentina’s amazing vocal with a crazy hook and an energetic baseline. Its a winner.
