Orbit’s back bringing you the best new music we can lay our planetary mits on. Awesome tracks this week coming from the likes of Skream, Lightspeed Champion and Fool’s Gold. This week’s episode is named after Jupiter’s moon Themisto.
In Greek Mythology Themisto was the third wife of Althamas. For a while the pair were happily married and she bore him five children. When Althamas went back to his second wife Ino, Themisto dressed all her own children in white and all of Ino’s in black, then proceeded to slaughter the black clothed children. This, however, backfired as Althamas had switched the childrens clothing and Themisto had in fact murdered her own brood. Oopsy.
If you’re starting to worry that this is descending into some sort of mythologcal episode of Jeremy Kyle fear not as we’ve got plenty of new music to distract you. Whether it be the the bass heavy dubstep of Skream or the off kilter indie delights of Grizzly Bear you’ll find something to entice you into our Orbit.
