Magnetism, Main Features:
16.03.09 | Vocoders, Horns, Songs and Strings

magnetism sea to lombok 450Inspired by a hauntingly simple cover of MGMT, Dougal put together a four-tune tribute to the vocoder which takes in Cleast Eatwood, Esc, Bon Iver and Aqua Bassino.

Add to that new electronica, classic Björk and energetic folk kicked off  a few choice words from our old mate Yeats.

  2. oh, and is that picture from last year in Indonesia?

  3. The picture is indeed from Indonesia. I took in at sunset from the stern of the slow ferry from Bali to Lombok. It seemed appropriate given my inclusion of The Anchor Song, Electric Feel and Aqua Bassino in the show.

  4. Lovin yeats, doug, My favourite bjork track too. Good to have you back at the desk.

  5. …and Happy Birthday too!

  6. (I always did wonder what happened to old Yeats). Altogether brilliant stuff for your birthday celebrations. The big 8! Have a great time and many happy returns.
