Little Rock invite Microrave CEO Voltergeist into the studio to discuss dub, Ayrshire, and why he has talcum powder on his rider.
Little Rock continue to lay waste with no apparent taste, presenting a dubbed-out techno set from Voltergeist, followed by an Earache classic and some Phil Anselmo. You know, the one who sang Fucking Hostile.

Hey hey!
Just a couple of corrections and amendments to the above tracklistings…
Tracks 2 & 3 after the minimix were:
OLD – Freak Now – Earache
NIGHTMARES ON WAX – 195lbs – Warp
Incidentally, I must apologise to fans of OLD who actually hail from New Jersey and NOT from Detroit as I mentioned on the show… All that talcum powder can make things a little confusing.
Hope you enjoy it!

this show sucks….WHERE’S ALL YER GABBA?!?!
Gabba is for Gayz! Only good gabba is about sucking a guys willy – is that why you like it?
Haha! I’m sure the Little Rock boys will be more than happy to oblige on the next show!
Gabba? I dunno, we’ve played some boneheaded and tasteless music before, so I see no problem in doing so again.
I can’t say I’m too aware of the fellatio-themed gabba culture, but I’m all for more songs about cock-sucking on the radio.
Gay Gabba special, anyone?
How much Gay Gabba can you get for your pink pound?
You love a pink poundin
I didn’t know that gabba was considered a gay style. I’ve always considered it quite aggressive, not like the more hands in the air hedonism of Hi-NRG.
All this gabba talk reminds me of a project that Gav Sutherland from FOUND and I were planning to launch years ago called jabba (a perfect fusion of jazz and gabba). I was talking to him about it at FOUND’s recent gig at Limbo. We must get that on the go.
Little Rock, would you play jabba?
only if it sounds like the link behind my name
We could do a campsies concert with a Jabba shed. It would be called the Jabba hut.
“Do what though wilt shall be the whole of the law.” If we like it, we play it. The hell with what either of us think is cool, contemporary or “critically acclaimed”. For Team Little Rock, music is a love affair. It’s sadomasochistic, passionate and born from immense darkness.
It’s the kind of old-school courtship that causes men in black to abseil down cliffs, dodge bullets and evade security, only to leave a small box of milk, cocoa and nut products on a bed somewhere.
All because Little Rock love music.
Stop. Jabba time.
Let it never be said that Little Rock are shy intellectuals who are precious about music…
No no no… By the Fires of Dub NO!
They are loud, daft and simultaneously intelligent with an urge to bestow unchartered frequencies upon the ossicles of the masses. Therefore I look forward to listening to “The Jabba Hut”, whilst plucking random treats from my delicious virtual box of Milk Decibels…
Incidentally, I have some gabba which is rather good. I shall forward it to the Little Rock crew…

man, you guys think you’re so cool. seriously though if you don’t play gabba, why do you even bother?your “eclectisim’ is just a way to hide the fact that you have no taste.jabba sounds cool dougal, do you have any links?
Gabba fan, I find your thoughts intriguing, and would very much like to subscribe to your newsletter. Do you also DJ?
No links yet, Gabba_Fan_1066, because we never got beyond an idea. Squarepusher is probably the closest we can get. Also check Sote on Warp, a lot of Rephlex, especially Musique and Planet Mu releases.
I’m not sure how many people on the more old school gabba tip make jazz?
Let’s get it on.
Big up the jabba massive!
Gabba fan your bluff has been called!! No SERIOUS gabba fan would think that a combination of the hardest music in the universe and the sissy genre of “jazz” would really work – you can run away home now.
Jazz? Sissy?
Clearly thou knowest not John Zorn and Mick Harris.
But they’re not exactly Gabber are they? They’re not even Jazz – not like ole Blue Eyes or Tony Bennet. Now that’s REAL jazz baby!
Liam, there’s an interesting collaboration between O.L.D. and John Zorn on their second album Lo Flux Tube… And some of their really early stuff can be heard here:
http://www.myspace.com/oldladydrivers
Which brings us back full circle to discussing interesting music which isn’t gabba. My dad thinks gabba is music for headbangers.
And I think we’re all as cool as utter fuck.
OMG! You like to fuck otters?!? That’s the last time you’re on OUR show pal!
Unless you think you’re Jane Fonda, in which case you can go fuck yourself – just like in this tune, which is actually a living breathing example of gay gabba. It’s no 3 on the myspace linked behind my name, and you can download it for free from Last FM. We should turn that slogan into a global chant.
Do you think Jane Fonda does fuck herself?
She probably does… If I were her then I probably would. It would make a nice change from an otter…
More to the point, when are we gonna hear a dedicated gabba show on Radiomagnetic? Without it, I don’t know why we bother.
It’s about time we were all put in our place and gang-raped by Rotterdam cock to the beat of some fresh Jazzfly…
You do realise that anybody reading these comments will now expect to hear at least one gabba track on your next show?
Looking up Gabba for tomorrow’s recording now.
And yeah, I think I’ll check that Zorn collab out.
Am I the only one who noticed the otter/ Beaver joke there?
don’t you worry your pretty little heads – I have a tune that not only is GABBA it is GAY and is about JANE FONDA. As I am doing tomorrow’s show I will be playing it. On a loop. For 4 hours.
great show!
specially the down track
Lysergic Funeral Procession
sweet
Wicked… Glad you enjoyed the show!
I’m heading over to listen to The Niallist on the next show right now… Let’s see what sort of Gabba-ring nonsense gets spewed out of the Little Rock studio this time round…
Selekta.
N’ aw that naw?
