John has been contributing to Radio Magnetic’s shows and features for quite a while now behind the scenes. In this show, for the first time, we let him loose in the studio. For the first in John’s new Broken Ear series he interviews ascendant Glasgow band Some Young Pedro.
Broken Ear also gets off to a good start with a Radio Magnetic-friendly selection of contemporary alternative, folk, altered pop, hard rock and indie. John even manages to slip a tropicalia number and classic Television cut for good measure.

Good show. really enjoyed hearing woods and blackmothsuperrainbow for the first time. Keep up the unearthing of great music and maybe some french hiphop on the show in the future? i’ve never heard it played on the radio.
