The first Walking Heads audio comedy-show-come-walking-tour guides you around Edinburgh’s famous comedy and historical landmarks and will be available for download to accompany you at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe from Monday 8 August.

The tour features dramatic narration from comedians, Jamie MacDonald and Harry Gooch with anecdotes and tales about Edinburgh, particularly the festival, from revered comedy writers, stand up comedians and broadcasters, Susan Morrison and Bruce Morton. The Edinburgh Comedy Tour will give you a unique, sometimes surreal and entertaining insight into the history surrounding the city’s best known landmarks and haunts and all for just £2.99 (for the smartphone apps or just £2.49 for the MP3 version).

The tour kicks off at the Fringe Shop and Box Office at 180 High Street, Edinburgh and ends at The Stand and it takes 90 minutes to walk and enjoy the tour. The perfect way to spend an hour and a half this summer in festival city we think!

We are also producing an accompanying podcast series, the first episode of which you can download right now from iTunes.

We’ll be producing more Walking Heads audio tours in the coming months too. Next up, a tour of Glasgow’s esteemed music scene and venues, from the 19th century music halls right through to the live music venues and clubs of 2011 via some of the most legendary haunts the city of Glasgow has seen, some still standing, some alive only in the history books.

At this time of year, rather than bore you with a seasonal or xmas themed selection of music I thought I’d bore you all with this instead. Harry and Dave debate what matters most in another episode of Current View.

In this show they discuss Obama’s victory, the introduction of exams for supermarket employees, and of course it wouldn’t be the same if they didn’t touch upon (oops) their good friend Gary Glitter.

Gooch and Herron, are back with another up-to-date view on the current state of affairs.

Discussions on recent global events include, amongst others, the missing 1500 fell-runners, the Moroccan royal family, and the meeting of the government and bank bosses to exchange cash in suitcases at Cafe Nero.

The boys take another look at the current view emanating from the studios lush surroundings and this week it’s all about the 3 P’s Protoypes, Palin and Pauline.

Harry and Dave imagine themselves on a hypothetical space mission. Meanwhile, back on earth they encounter armoured jeeps, computer grids and Yorg Haider. They look back at Wendy Richard’s career and blow a kiss to the Pig In Lipstick, Sarah Palin.
