Breda Doherty from Radio Magnetic and Dead Sound caught up with RM Hubbert, the much revered Glasgow guitarist on the eve of his second solo album release, Thirteen Lost & Found. They discuss the collaborative writing process the album was built around, why Hubbert felt the recording studio was the most comfortable environment to reconnect with old friends, the personal experiences behind his music and his understandable love for The Minutemen.

Breda Doherty from Radio Magnetic caught up with John Stanier, drumming legend with Warp Records‘ Battles just before the band’s recent gig in The Arches, Glasgow. We chatted to John about the importance to the band of performing live and the experimentation which goes into creating that unique Battles sound. We also discussed the different recording process experienced on the band’s second album Gloss Drop, their first as a trio following the departure of guitarist and lead singer Tyondai Braxton.

In Greek Mytholog, the Titans were a group of Deities that ruled the legendary Golden Age. They were eventually overthrown by a gang of younger gods called the Olympians, led by serial deviant Zeus.
