Listen online, stream and download the Ionise Dubcast on Radio Magnetic for the best classic and contemporary dub and reggae music.

Hard to believe but it’s true. The less than prolific One Louder have only gone and done it again. Episode 2 of Ionise Dubcast has arrived and unsurprisingly features the finest deep reggae and heavy dub.

The Ionise Dubcast series is still getting into it’s groove but Episode 2 is a real tonic for the ears with devastating dub from the likes of Mikey Dread and The Aggrovators sitting alongside lush vocal tracks by The Chosen Few and The Congos.

Get it on and turn it up. You owe it to yourself.

As RM's 10th year broadcasting cutting edge specialist music programmes draws to a close the One Louder DJs have decided to help them celebrate by giving the Ionise show a bit of a make-over.

Listen online, stream and download the Ionise podcast on Radio Magnetic for the best classic and contemporary dub and reggae music.

As Radio Magnetic‘s 10th year broadcasting cutting edge specialist music programmes draws to a close the One Louder DJs have decided to help them celebrate by giving the Ionise show a bit of a make-over.

Over the last 10 years the broadcasting industry has changed dramatically and nowadays, in this modern ultra-connected digital age, finding some audio entertainment that is actually satisfying and listener friendly is no longer the painful and time consuming task that it used to be.

It is certainly an exciting time for broadcasters and listeners alike and it is this that has inspired the One Louder DJs to switch things up a bit.

The new direction see them serving up a series of irregular and inconsistent mixes of the finest reggae and dub influenced music designed specifically for your headphones. The idea is not to take up too much of your time and to keep you interested and entertained while they have your attention.

Episode One sees Davie Kelly lay down an iPod friendly mix of some seriously bass heavy low slung dub and reggae. So plug yourself in, turn it up to eleven and give your ears a treat.

Rasef and Lobo are rejoined together again after Lobo’s wee fishing trip hiatus with his old man.

In this episode the boys are in a cheery mood and can’t wait for the first results to come through from the large hadron collider. End of the world perhaps? Who knows but at least the Volcanic Show is here to make light of the situation with a wee joke and yet another healthy deposit in the studio swear box.

If you’re a fan of Rasef and Lobos’ brand of rock, blues, rockabilly, punk, ska and reggae then make sure you get your arse down to their very own club night, Eruption.

The long awaited return of the Ionise Radio Show has at last come to an end! What better way to celebrate than to peer into the trojan box set collection form the man One Louder.

The long awaited return of the Ionise Radio Show has at last come to an end!

For those that can remember, Davie is our dub expert and usually brings a mix of dub, reggae and dub influenced techno and house. This time around you’re in for a big treat. The man’s got a new house and a new hobby collecting Trojan Records box sets. We couldn’t thinking of a more fruitful and wholesome hobby for man like Davie.

Trojan Records was founded in 1968 by Lee Gopthal and was one of the influentail labels in the UK that was feeding the skinheads sweeping the country with the ska, rocksteady and reggae they were crying out for. Trojan was born out of Island Records and was named after the Croydon built Trojan Truck that was used by Duke Reid to tour his soundsystem round Jamaica. By 1970 Trojan’s releases started entering the charts. First with Toni Tribe’s version of ‘Red Red Wine’ and then with the likes of Lee Perry’s Upsetters, Desmond Dekker, Toots And The Maytals, The Cimarons, Bob & Marcia, Bruce Ruffin and Nicky Thomas.

Of course some of Trojan’s early artists went onto huge international success after a low key entry into Trojan’s roster. These included Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, U Roy and a Kingston-based vocal trio called Bob Marley & the Wailers.

So you can understand Davie’s reasonably excessive hobby to collect the extensive set of over 70 Trojan Records Box Sets. Luckily for you he’s picked out a masterful selection of tracks from his current collection and kindly added in brackets which box set they’re from to the tracklist below.

Ionise Trojan special part 2 anyone?
