Leftfield, musical it girl Santogold has teamed up with the don of all beats south of the equator, Diplo to produce possibly the best mix of the year.

Although tipped for the top Santogold’s debut album ‘Santogold’ didn’t become the alternative hit it was hyped to be but that’s no matter as she proves in this collaboration. Since we heard of this girl she’s been dropping bass flexin tunes all over the net and it won’t be long before the next batch are ready to come out and play.

Diplo on the other hand has been on a constant rise to success introducing the world to the new sound of Brazil through acts like Bonde Do Role, Radio Clit and Mix Hell. Not only that but he’s been backing some of the world’s premier female rapping/singing stars along the lines of Santogold, MIA and Amanda Blank (We’re big fans of Amanda). The star of this show is one of the main men behind Fence Records, The Pictish Trail, one of the busiest men in music. The Pictish Trail’s live ensemble features the all star cast of King Creosote on keys and James Yorkson on guitar, with On The Flyon drums and Uncle Beesley on bass. Also on the bill we hear from the deep-layered pop of Player Piano and get rowdy with the perfect punk of Come in Tokyo.

The Bulleit Sessions programmes are available as a podcast. Each episode is published in the feed as both audio only (MP3) and enhanced audio (AAC), which includes pictures and links.

The Soundsystem’s first port of call will be Glasgow’s pub of the moment, The Ivy on Friday 8th August. For those that haven’t been the basement of the Ivy is one of the most intimate venues in Glasgow and by intimate we don’t mean impossible to move or get to the bar, we mean hot sweaty and always jumping. The Ivy already plays host to taste makers such as NUMBERS, BALLERS SOCIAL CLUB, OOFT, Mount Heart Attack and now sees Radio Magnetic’s finest on it’s wheels.

The plan is to get through all of the amazing DJ’s and presenters on our roster so to kick things off we’ve got Kenny ‘Pest Control’, Davie ‘Ionise’ and Tony ‘The Beat Delivery’ playing a fine mix of what they do best.

The Radio Magnetic all stars will be in the bar upstairs while Baller’s will be applying the pressure in the basement.
