Avus can count himself as one of the Border Community label’s founding fathers, pledging his allegiance to the cause as early as release number four, the low-slung bassline action of Real, before giving further substance to his declaration with 2007′s deliciously raw spinetingler Furry Hat. An impressive array of labels including Klang Elektronik, Perc Trax, Manual Music and Poodle Records have since called upon the recording services of Avus, but for the self-assured and succinct Poppy EP he finds himself safely back at home in the cuddly community where it all began.
